Clean Air & Full Tummies

My Project

Childhood asthma is extremely prevalent in urban areas. Nearly half of my students have asthma or allergies. With very few windows, heavy dust accumulates in our classroom, which can result in asthma attacks, migraines, runny noses, and allergic reactions.

Every child deserves clean air and a healthy learning environment.

I am requesting new air filters for our existing air purifier to help students breathe easier. Dusters, vacuums, spray bottles, hand sanitizer, and Clorox wipes will cut down on dust and dirt within our classroom to improve student health and thus their attendance and engagement. Students further can't learn if they're hungry, thus the need for healthy snacks like granola bars and veggie straws is critical to keeping students happy and cared for.
