Help me give my students clean air for our classrooms. This project will allow us to put new clean air filters in the air purifiers our students built for all of our classrooms last year.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is reducing illness and absenteeism in our school by cleaning the air in our classrooms and providing clean air for our students' learning environment. Last year our fifth grade Environmental Club build portable air purifiers for each of our classrooms as well as our gym, cafeteria, and more.
With your help, we'll start off this school year with brand new air filters in our air purifiers.
This project will allow us to buy enough high quality air filters to clean our classroom air for the full 2024-25 school year.
Students last year told us that their minds felt clearer and that they were able to concentrate better once the air purifiers were installed. These portable air filters clean our indoor air and help protect our students and teachers against airborne contaminants like dust, smoke, and pollution, as well as flu, cold, and virus particles. And studies have shown that these high quality air purifiers reduce illness and absenteeism, keeping students in school where they can learn.
