Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher working with 6-12 preschool students diagnosed with autism, sensory processing disorder, speech and language delay and multiple-handicaps with low cognitive skills. As a result of schools shutting down physical buildings, I have been seeing my students via video streaming sessions. Some of my students are non-speaking or have limited speech. However, that does not hinder them to reach their best potential in participating with the use of personalized hands-on materials and basic supplies.

My goal is to provide a classroom for my students that is safe, organized, welcoming, exciting, engaging and offers opportunities for exploration, and prepares my students for future academic success.

My Project

Our classroom is beautiful but small and old! It is one of the older preschool sites in our city. I believe that it is important for my students to learn in a safe and healthy enviroment. To ensure that my students and their families have no concerns about their health and safety this school year, I would like to ask for your generosity in purchasinga a BLUEAIR air purifier.

Kindly help me give my students and their families a warm welcome back to school in a safe and healthy school year.

I would like to ask for your generosity in gifting our classroom with an air purifier as we return to in-person learning. Our classroom does not have much windows to bring the fresh air in and leaving the doors open might not be safe for them, the air purifier will help filter the air that we breathe while indoors.
