Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in Duval County, Florida. My county is incredibly diverse, with speakers of dozens of languages and students from all over the world. My school mirrors the county population. I have students from Latin America, Africa, and Europe along with students who were born and raised in the United States.

In order to make content connect with my students, I involve as many engaging activities as possible in my lessons.

My students are committed to​ and excited about learning every day. They are hard workers who aim to succeed both in school and in their extracurricular lives. By bringing new activities, technology, and media into my classroom, I can better prepare my students for success in the future.

My Project

This is a crazy time for all students and schools. With online learning being continued most likely through the rest of the school year, students will be more than thrilled to return to school next year.

I want to make sure that my students are returning to a clean, neat, and beautiful environment with the supplies that we need most.

I would love for us to be able to gather close together on the carpet to learn our lessons. I would love for my students to be able to use headphones to focus and simulate the quiet environment that they have been experiencing at home.
