This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Using clay as a medium will allow my students to experience art beyond pen and paper. They'll be able to use their hands to create something that helps them delve into their imagination which hasn't been able to be done for about 4 years now. They're super creative individuals and need that outlet to show them how art is important and translates into everyday life. I want my students to have the opportunity outside of the core subjects. To let them know everything isn't black and white and that the extracurricular classes are just as important.
