My students are between ages 5-12 and live in a large urban setting where more than 3 quarters of the students come from low income households. These students love art class and are interested in really exploring all of the different materials and all that the art world has to offer.
They are ambitious and determined to beat all obstacles that come their way.
Most of them love art because it is a safe haven where they can continue to grow, discover themselves and discover more of the world around them!
My Project
My students come from low income homes and are sometimes unable to access and experiment with different art materials outside of the classroom. With this air dry clay, we will be able to create things such as pinch pot animals, small keepsake boxes and more! This will help expand on our knowledge of the principles and elements of art, not to mention help develop our fine motor skills through sculpting in the art room. Please consider donating to our lesson so that we can explore the world of art that we wouldnt have the funds to do otherwise! Thank you!
