This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have previously expressed how much our students adore art days in the library, and this probably will not be the last time I share this. Whether it's exploring abstract art or painting with water, enjoying free drawing sessions, or guided art lessons, numerous students opt to spend their recess in the library, immersing themselves in quiet creativity.
Engaging in art not only fosters self-expression and boosts self-esteem but also aids in developing spatial recognition and fine motor skills while igniting the imagination.
With the clay, pottery wheels, and clay tools, students will be making coiled clay pots (to be filled with plants), animal sculptures, clay jewelry, and small dishes. We will also utilize found items from nature to make our projects unique!
