My Students

I am a 5th and 6th grade technology teacher in southeast Texas. I teach all the 5th grade students on the campus for 6 weeks, and 6th grade students come to my class for one semester as an elective choice.

In the 6th grade elective AV Tech class, we are able to explore many different areas of technology, touching on audiovisual recording, research and coding.

We have been using Ozbots in class recently but only have 3 to work with.

My Project

My students love working with technology. My class is an elective class that students choose to take, and we are currently housed in portable buildings since Hurricane Harvey came through southeast Texas last year, damaging our middle school. We recently purchased 3 Ozbots to use in class to help us learn more about coding. With 2 additional Bit Coding Robots, students would be able to get more time practicing.

Being able to have hands-on experiences is vital to learning and retention.

Students will be able to code their robot and participate in activities with classmates to test the success of their very own codes.
