This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are in our third quarter of school. Many of our supplies have been used up or worn out. Almost three-quarters of our students' families are unable to buy supplies, and our school has no money to help teachers replenish or replace worn-out materials. Many of our families have been impacted by the fires on our island and have many struggles. The new books, writing tools, project tools, posts, and large poster paper will greatly assist our students with reading comprehension, cooperative learning, and writing projects. Also, students will love a new pencil sharpener since the old one is now "eating" the pencils instead of sharpening them. The stapler will greatly help with organizing and keeping work together. The snacks are great for our fast-growing fourth graders!
