Classroom Update and Supplies for Rural Middle School Students

My Project

I am fortunate to have lovely windows that bring light into our classroom (most days) and two large instructional boards at the front. The light is great, but can be overwhelming to those with sensitivity to light. That said, I would love to be able to turn off the fluorescent overhead lights and offer softer lighting with the marquee letters spelling out "MATH" along with some lamps I plan to purchase on my own.

At our school, both students and staff take great pride in the materials we have, but a few small updates to our supplies and decor will make my classroom a welcoming and functional space for learners.

After years of use, our current pencil sharpener no longer works and the calculator caddy no longer holds all of our calculators. These small items are necessary for the function of a middle school math classroom and are key to the organization of a classroom. In numbering my students' desks and calculators, they know exactly which supplies to pick up on given days.

We would very much appreciate any contributions to our classroom!
