This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are such hard workers, they deserve the best. Some standards I have to teach are boring. I have found that students are engaged when I transform the classroom into another place to match our lessons.
These items will allow me to transform our classroom into a rigorous and fun learning environment.
Welcoming students into a classroom that is briefly transformed with decorations amplifies their excitement for learning. By securing these resources, our classroom will be transformed multiple times throughout the year based upon what students are currently studying and can even be used for my future students next year since everything is reusable. Wearing a judge costume while students practice opinion writing and allowing them to have a verbal debate will allow them to be engaged. The construction costumes and clipboards will allow them to do math, writing, and science construction-themed lessons.
