My students need chairs, wobble cushions, folders, and an organizer, etc...so they can have a classroom that allows them to learn with enthusiasm, comfort, and an abundance of supplies.
This year, I am conducting a classroom transformation project that will supply my room with essential resources.
My third grade students are incredibly sweet individuals, who are all truly motivated to learn and explore the world around them. I currently have 24 students, and the majority of these children are emergent bilinguals developing English as a second language.
I want to provide them with the best classroom resources available.
They work so hard every single day, and a comfortable environment is critical for learning. With a brand new "modernized" classroom next year, there are some resources we desperately need to update our room!
My Project
My utmost goal is to provide an inclusive, comfortable, and resource-filled space for my third grade students, and therefore I am in the process of conducting a "classroom transformation".
The materials I have carefully chosen for my students-- flexible seating, plants, calming lights, throw pillows, and more, allow students to move freely throughout the classroom in designated "learning zones" I have designed: the Zen Zone Reading Nook, Creative Station, Group Task Table, and a Multicultural Map Wall highlighting student diversity in our room.
Students will benefit immensely from these specialized learning zones in the classroom, as they will be able to feel welcomed in a safe, inclusive, and warm environment that encourages academic exploration in a variety of learning styles.
My students have spoken to me about the things that matter to them most, and I am reaching out to you to support them in receiving these items. As our classrooms are undergoing modernization next year, we have the critical need to meet the needs of a new room layout.
