My Students
My high school students are truly amazing! They have taken each day in stride and have exhibited grace during this unprecedented time. Many of my students have classroom instruction 2 days a week and are remote for the the other 3 days. Some of my students are remote all 5 days and join our class via live streaming daily. Due to many unknowns and a lack of appropriate technology, teaching and learning has been challenging. I am hoping to have some technology funded to improve my teaching pedagogy and increase their learning whether in the classroom or remotely at home.

It is vital for all students to feel connected to our learning regardless of their "classroom" location.
We as teachers have the great challenge to teach not only the students in front of us, but also the students learning remotely from their homes. This technology would help our students immensely with our day to day learning. Right now, we are losing precious class time as we navigate new ways of teaching and learning and addressing daily technology issues. These tools would allow for easy transition between teaching done on the white boards in the classroom using direct instruction, as well as navigating resources within our District learning management platform. It would make communication with our eLearners more seamless and allow them to feel like a part of our class, increasing classroom community.
