Help me give my students Amazon Fire tablets and equipment that will charge and house the tablets. These tablets will be used at e-readers as well classroom tablets to be used with applications such as Dash and Osmo.
The students in my classroom are coming to our school from the surrounding community. Our school is an IB school which means that we ask our students daily to be globally minded and think outside of themselves.
I have the opportunity to teach students who are advanced learners.
In teaching students that are advanced learners, your donations will help expose my students to critical thinking and logical reasoning in all areas. These materials will challenge my students to think outside the box to solve problems that they will face in the real world and apply the knowledge they have learned in class to create. All the items that are being requested directly correlate with what the students are learning and allow for exposure past what I directly teach. These items are exciting and innovative.
My Project
Bring globally minded at my school we ask the students to become 21st century learners. A part of being a 21st century learner is having the ability to think computationally, critically, while also analyzing information quickly.
These tablets and cases will allow my students access to online books, audio books, and applications downloaded that support Dash from Wonder Workshop and Osmo.
Having these tablets in the classroom gives my students the opportunity to become 21st century learners and engage in activities that will help them become competitive in the workforce once they reach that age.
Applications that support Dash and Osmo engage my students in coding activities. Coding has become a tool that students can master. Working with coding applications helps students become quick analyzers, critical problems solvers, and creates computations thinking. These skills also transfer into reading when the students are asked to analyze and sequence events.
Having access to tablets opens a new world of possibilities up for my students and with your generous donations we can make that possible.
