My Project
My students come to me for special education services and classroom instruction and as a new teacher to my school, the furniture in our classroom currently consists of a foldable party table I found in a storage room, a very long table meant for desktop computers and some rolling combination desk-chairs. My students deserve to have the same quality of furniture that their non-disabled peers have in their classes. Due to budget constraints at our charter school, tables are going on order but cannot be purchased nor delivered in the near or distant future. I want our classroom to feel like "OUR" classroom and not one that is piecemealed together with random leftovers. This presents a daily struggle in instruction with no uniform classroom arrangement due to limited resources. Please help my students learn in a classroom where they feel welcome and comfortable in small groups and large group instruction.
