This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my kindergarten classroom, where a majority of students come from low-income backgrounds and often struggle to bring basic supplies, the items I'm requesting can make a monumental difference. My primary goal for this project is to provide my students with the tools they need to succeed academically and creatively. This will include using art supplies to strengthen their fine motor skills and create beautiful pieces of art related to what students are learning, Velcro dots to use to organize a word wall and a math focus wall, a simple pencil sharpener that will ensures that each student can always have a sharp writing tool at hand, and a speaker amplifies our lessons ensuring that every student can hear and engage with the material effectively, fostering a more inclusive learning environment. Overall, promoting legible work and boosting their confidence.

What truly makes my students specials is their resilience and eagerness to learn despite facing economic challenges.

They inspire me daily with their determination to overcome obstacles and their thirst for knowledge. By providing supplies; you're not just providing supplies; you're nurturing the potential of these remarkable students, helping them thrive academically and beyond.
