Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have two amazing groups of fifth grade classes with 33 students in each. At my school, 90% of students are Black or Hispanic and 85% of our students are economically disadvantaged. I want to supply my students with all the basic essentials that all classrooms deserve.

Everyday, my students come to school eager to learn and I want to provide my students with every essential supply I can.

With our reading curriculum, students are color coding many essays and these colored pencils are a necessity for the lessons. Pencils and erasers for each student will ensure that they all have writing utensils in school and at home, so they can successfully finish their work in and out of school. Staplers and packaging tape are necessary to hang the students' final writings for display. The hall passes are mandatory when going on an errand and being able to wear them around their necks will ensure they won't get lost.
