This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project has a handful of materials that will be necessary for our first graders to finish out the school year! I have asked for disinfectant wipes to continue to keep our classroom clean and our students healthy. I have requested folders to help our students keep their materials organized at school and at home! The dry erase pockets listed in the project are a must-have for our first graders! We put worksheets/activities in the middle of the pocket, then students can use a dry erase marker to complete the activity! We often use these in math. Students might use a math model, such as a ten frame or number line, with their dry erase marker, then they can reuse the pocket many times as they work with different math problems. Last, I have requested a mouse to support our teachers in whole-group instruction. Having a mouse is an invaluable tool as we teach using the smart board!
