My Project

I know most teachers must feel this way, but I really have the BEST (behaviorally and emotionally supported teaching) six children in my classroom. Our program focuses on the whole child as we strive to teach our students not only academics, but also self-regulation and DBT therapy skills. When we are able to focus and regulate ourselves, these students thrive in the classroom and their learning!

When I started teaching this amazing group of students this year, we already had a very limited supply of headphones and other materials, but now, students' needs are not being met.

We have a very noise-sensitive group of students who need to be able to focus and concentrate on their work as well as relax and use their DISTRACT skills when coping with the world around them. Students also require many handouts and task cards in order to complete their work, which need to be laminated so that we can write directly on them as well as for durability.

I unfortunately do not have the means to fulfill these tasks which is why I am asking for donations. Please help us replenish our supply of headphones as well as lamination sheets. I, as well as my students, would be extremely grateful for your donation. Thank you!
