This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my class, we color code EVERYTHING! Writing is important, but understanding the different pieces are parts are also important.

We need your help!

Because we write so much, the pencil sharpeners have taken a beating over the years. The highlighters have lost their luster. The pencils are all but little nubs. And, we are out of poster papers that help us make our learning big, beautiful, and proud.

Each item on our list is essential to making learning fun, engaging, meaningful, beautiful and COLORFUL! Studies even show that colors help students retain more information in their brains!

But, it's not all hard work! We love to have fun and express our language skills with games. One of their favorites is UNO. As ELLs (English Language Learners) having conversations is one of the skills that are assessed, so using games to help them speak is a non-threatening and fun way to engage them in speaking.
