My Students
My students are my heart! I want to provide my students with the same opportunities as I do my own son. I am a special education teacher in 6th grade. Although I have a group of special education students, I teach all of the students in the classroom. They range from pre-k to sixth grade level even though they are sixth grade. My students are loving, creative and passionate about learning. However many of my students do not have the basic school supplies to come prepared to learn. Many of them do not have books to read at home. It is hard to encourage a love of learning when they are lacking some of these things, especially as we enter virtual learning. Students will need individual supplies at home that can help them learn and reach their potential. My students are so appreciative of even the smallest things. I want to display an environment that is fun, engaging and inviting. I want my students to be excited when they see and hopefully, will eventually walk into my classroom. My classroom is their home away from home. I want school to be their home away from home.
My Project
These supplies are just the basic supplies needed to get started in a classroom. Cleaning supplies are essential during any school year, however this year it is so important to clean and sanitize all supplies. Chromebooks, desks, and chairs need to be cleaned after each use. Supplying students each with pencils, markers and crayons will help to reduce the spread of germs. Students can work with the confidence that they are in a clean and safe environment. They would appreciate the supplies that are provided to keep them healthy! Thanks!
