This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are always excited and intrigued to learn when they are exploring new concepts with any form of technology. The school I teach at is considered a Title I school in a rural, agricultural-based community. It has a small population and the students stay busy with participating in several extracurricular activities and clubs.

Our students are very active and successful inside and outside of the classroom.

They are very deserving students and I would do anything in my power to make sure that they have the same opportunities that every student needs to excel.

My Project

Getting ready for the school year by stocking up on essential school supplies used in all my classes throughout the year. Several of my students are too embarrassed to mention that they can't afford basic school supplies, like pens, pencils, and markers, so I like to have them for everyone to use in my classroom. In my experience, this has always helped in making sure my students have what they need and it relieves some financial stress that no child should ever worry about. This allows my students to focus on learning rather than stressing about how they will get items needed for their class.
