Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from various backgrounds and are from low income families. My students all have various levels of proficiency in math. The majority of my students are multi-sensory learners. They learn best when they receive small group instruction.

Our classroom is in need of classroom supplies, in order for students to be successful and demonstrated their comprehension of the content.

This upcoming school year we have many students who learn at different paces and it would be beneficial to have classroom supplies so that they do not hav to worry about having supplies to work on math skills. The supplies would provide students the ability to work on skills they lack proficiency and gain the necessary access to the content that they need.

My Project

My classroom is in need of supplies. Our school is integrating fine arts and performing arts standards into our curriculum. This is wonderful as many of my students learn through visuals. Adding visuals would allow my students to visualize math content in different ways than they normally would.

Classroom sets of art supplies would allow my students to demonstrate their content knowledge as the supplies would be readily available.

The markers and color pencils would allow students to add color to their classroom and help them visualize or demonstrate different strategies. Must students would not have to worry about bringing supplies to class as they would have them in class ready for use at all times.
