We serve students with autism and developmental delay. No matter our differences and challenges, we are a TEAM. Every day we work on communication, academics, life skills, and how to laugh at ALL times!

My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go and how it will be used. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.
In our classroom we have implemented a work system for students to know how much work is to be done and what to do when it is finished. Materials that are needed for our work is Sticky Back Coins Hook & Loop Self Adhesive Dots, Low-Odor Dry Erase Markers, Thermal Laminating Pouches, and File Folders. This will allow me to make task specifically for all of my students and differentiate their work to fit their needs. With all of the new materials that I create for my students over the summer will be stored in the Iris plastic bins for easy access for students to work on. The students in my classroom complete work every day to take home to show their family. It is important to let their family know how much of the work they are doing independently or what the student needs help to complete; by having a rubber stamp the teacher or teacher's aide can stamp on the child's work to inform parents on their child’s success. Incorporating more Educational Insights Fluorescent Light Filters on all of the lights in our classroom it will allow our students to work at a more calming environment.
