My Students

My class is made up of students that are kind, caring, and hard workers. My school district is located in a rural farming community with low economics. I also have a lot of migrant students who are only with me in the fall and spring.

All of our students receive free lunch due to the low economic status of our community.

It is difficult for parents to purchase everything their child needs on the supply list that is sent home every year.

My Project

These are items I use all the time in our classroom. We will not have enough glue sticks to last the rest of the year. We use handwriting paper everyday. I will run out of birthday awards and bookmarks before the end of the year. I also like to put seasonal stickers on their papers they hand in.

I would be purchasing all of this out of pocket.

We only get a small amount of money to purchase school supplies every year. The basics really eat up all the budget so I end up going to a teacher store to purchase the rest of the items I need.
