My students are some of the most dynamic, creative and intelligent kids. They never cease to amaze me with their drive and resilience.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, we are an inner-city school with limited resources and high poverty.
Many of my students face challenges in life, however, they are able to come to school with a smile on their face and ready to learn. School is their safe place, where they can be the best of who they are.
My Project
We are in dire need of classroom supplies. Many of our pencils, crayons, and Post-It notes have been used up or are no longer working! Many of my students rely on me to provide them with the easel pads, folders, tape, and scissors they need to complete their work.
I want to surround my students in a positive environment.
I believe in them and need them to believe in themselves. Being able to read the motivational quotes on the posters daily, will help them to continue with positive thoughts in their head.
Knowing that I believe in them and that they can come to me with their needs without feeling ashamed or embarrassed can make all the difference in the level of their success.
