Hello! I teach in a high needs school in Washington Heights in Manhattan. I teach a first grade inclusion classroom. Half of my students are special education and the other half are regular education. My kids have a great attitude and really are a lot of fun. In addition they bring a lot of joy to my life.

Unfortunately this year New York City suffered from numerous budget cuts. Due to this fact, Teacher's Choice money (money we can use for our classrooms) was cut drastically. I now have very little money to spend on supplies for my classroom, which has already been used up and school has just begun. This is unfortunate because the students are the ones who are suffering the most due to lack of supplies.

I need a variety of resources but I would like to start off small and continue to write proposals over the course of the year. For this proposal I would love to get a birthday chart, school calendar (to help keep me organized!), a printable book (to differentiate for my students with special needs) and we can never have enough tape! I love to hang numerous colorful, print rich charts on my walls but they only stay up with the heavy duty tape.

We really need your help! With your help I can give my students the supplies that they need and deserve. These supplies will really help me differentiate for my students and help them be successful in their academic journeys.
