Classroom Supplies to Start a Great New Year

My Project

As I grow in my teaching journey, I have learned that it is important to save as much time as possible. I am trying new things to help my students be successful and get as much academic time as possible. Last year I made math kits in ziplock bags. They wound up getting dumped out and materials were lost. This year I would like to make math kits in a pencil box to hopefully house the materials better. I would also love a class set of clipboards. I think being outside is good for everyone and when the weather is nice, I like to take my class outdoors. The best thing I implemented this year was book pouches. Students were able to chose books from my library to put in their book pouch. When it was independent reading time, it was much easier to grab their book pouch than having individual books. Unfortunately I had to take their headphone pouches to achieve this. I would love an extra set so each student has 2 pouches. Lastly, it gets HOT in South Mississippi and recess during August, September, and October is brutal. I found a nice cold wipe is great for those hot days.
