My Project
School supplies help promote academic success in the classroom by providing scholars with the tools they will need to start learning on the first day of school. Scholars who have school supplies of their own can enter into the classroom with a positive attitude about the new school year and will be prepared to engage in the acitivities provided with confidence.
When scholars are equipped with the tools they need, they tend to have a better classroom experience.
Having their own pencils, crayons, scissors, and markers, gives scholars the individual freedom to be creative without constraints on the available materials. Scholars also learn how to be responsible for maintaining their own materials, which is a valuable life lesson.
Many families at my school are not always able to provide their scholar with supplies for the year, so I hope to help ease the financial burden many of them face at the beginning of the school year. I want all my students to start the school year fresh with excitement by providing school supplies that everyone needs in my classroom. I can just imagine the looks on their faces as they enter my classroom for the first time, with the gift of their own supplies already laid out for them on their desks.
These pencils, erasers, headphones, water bottles, notebooks and other school supplies will support learning and activities inside and outside the classroom. Students will have brand new items to support their creativity, individualism, and their sense of ownership. It will mean so much to my students to begin the school year with these awesome school supplies.
