This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a self-contained behavioral classroom with a awesome bunch of students. They all have varying needs and all require support behaviorally and academically. They all have amazing potential but sometimes feel down on themselves. I want to show them how special and smart they are.

I want to give them every opportunity to succeed by teaching them the skills needed to be successful in school and in the community.

I am trying to ensure that my students are confident in themselves and know how to advocate for themselves.

My Project

My students need to have classroom resources available to them. They love learning in different manners. Having access to various types of writing utensils is crucial for them to be successful in all their activities.

Having the write writing utensils makes a huge difference in their day to day activities.

It also saves time so they are not losing out on academic time searching for writing materials. It is difficult for students to get materials outside of school. I don't want them to stress about not having the materials they need while in school. They all have enough to worry about in their day to day lives. I want school to be a safe and positive environment.
