Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every year, my students come to me bright-eyed and we start learning about each other and the world around us. The classroom hasn’t been the same since we have been full remote since September. During virtual learning, we do many fun, engaging activities online. Students are limited to the resources they have at home. Art supplies, manipulative, and different learning activities would help keep my students focused and engaged. All of my students are eligible to receive free lunch and breakfast.
They are enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated learners.
I wish for each one of my students to have the opportunities that they so rightfully deserve in a classroom environment that provides ample and worthwhile learning experiences. Their future matters.
My Project
My students are bright-eyed and eager young Pre-K learners. This school year is their first in-person class experience. They are learning the classroom routines for the first time. I have requested a walking rope with handles for when the kids have to walk inside the school building and to the playground. I want to make sure that their safety is at the forefront, and the walking rope will ensure that we walk from one place to another safely and together.
It is important that my students have a variety of materials that will provide them the tools needed to learn.
I have requested Play-Doh containers for my students, so that each child can have their own supply to pound, roll, and mold. The brilliant dot art painters will allow my students to make letters, numbers, and whatever their heart desires. I wish the best for my students and their education.
