I will be starting at a new school next year, and a new grade! As a result, I will need some new and different supplies that fit better in the younger grade. Our school is a Title I school, meaning most of our students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch. With budget cuts, it is becoming increasingly difficult for teachers to have funded classrooms.
Our classroom desperately needs supplies so that our students can engage in exciting science, art, social studies, and literacy activities.
One of the goals for this year is to have my classroom fulled stocked with all the supplies we need at the beginning of the year so that we can limit the need to ask for supply donations and having the teacher buy supplies out of pocket. Donations will make a huge impact on the amount of supplies and items that can be purchased to start the school year off right!
This summer has been full of planning a prepping for the little ones to start school in August. As I've been cleaning my new classroom, I realized that we need a ton of help getting the supplies that we will need to get through the school year. Last year, I waited to get supplies, and never could really catch up. this year, I want to start with a fully stocked classroom, so that we can focus on learning and not what supplies we are missing.
Your help in purchasing these basic classroom supplies will make a huge impact on students' growth and learning this year.
Dice are needed for math and spelling, as well as other activities. Art supplies art desperately needed as we will have quite a few art projects aligned with ELA, science and social studies. Clipboards are needed to help students to be able to work wherever they want in the classroom, as well as very useful for outdoor learning!
