Classroom Supplies for 1st Year Teacher

My students need necessary classroom supplies (doorbell, timer/light, chair pad, bins) to begin the school year.

My Students

I have 23 wonderful 5th graders who will begin the school year with me this August. More than 1/3 of my students are on free or reduced lunch. My school is a Title 1 School and many of my students receive some type of intervention. My classroom will be a fun and welcoming community. We practice and implement a lot of Responsive Classroom in our room. I want them to start off the school year with the best classroom possible.

When my students come to fifth grade, I want them to have everything they need in order to be successful and have fun.

My Project

These materials will help me greatly. The slow light timer will be used as a soft light timer for a student with special needs. The wireless doorbell will be used as a classroom managment tool. I will press the bell to signal students when we will transition. The computer cord is necessary in order to project our math curriculum from the school computer to the projector. The multicultural markers will help my students create true representations of one another. The floor cushion will be used as a flexible seating option. The papermate pencils and other pencils will be used for students to complete assignments and also to help students with handwriting. The storage bin will be used to store classroom supplies such as flexible seating options. The colored dice and decimal/place value dice will be used in our math centers to teach fifth grade math concepts. .

These materials are not only necessary for my students but they will also help make learning fun!
