Classroom Studio Take Two

Help me give my students additional lighting, an external harddrive, and a professional upgrade to our classroom studio

My Project

Previously, we successfully raised funds to create a fun and engaging video studio for our alternative education school. Students used our new resources to record news reports about school events. We recorded informative videos about current events and how to videos about culinary creations. This year, we would like to expand on what we already have by adding a MacBook with Apple video editing software, lighting to more professionally shoot video, and external memory to store completed projects.

A MacBook with iMovie software will provide a more intuitive video editing tool than what we have previously worked with.

Our students have already experienced making video content on their smartphones. A MacBook with iMovie will make the process of cutting, editting, and scrutinizing their work less convoluted.

An external hard drive will allow student video projects to be archived. Having such an archive will allow students to review past projects and build from previously learned experiences.

We are currently working with one light source but adding a backlight and a fill light will present a more professional mood on our video.
