My Project
I currently have a rug that I bought for my classroom that is not physically big enough for my students. Often students feel squished during rug time lessons, but all want to be included on the rug. I want to be able to give them all space so they can learn their best on the rug and ensure all students have space. I have many students with sensory needs and having this extra space will be important for their learning success.
I also use chair holders for students to keep their materials organized and to avoid the constant up and down during the day.
These chair holders allow students to keep their materials together and make it easy for them to retrieve and put away their materials. Due to budget reasons, I can only afford to get my students the $1 chair holders which do not hold up for the year. Students then have their chair holders rip which makes it challenging with their materials. I want to be able to give my students adequate storage for their books.
I have worked really hard to create a calm classroom environment and the use of these calm colors will help to continue that feeling.
