Classroom Socio-Emotional Library

Help me give my students with tools to aid in their socio-emotional wellness during this unforeseen reality.

My Students

98% of the students at my school receive Free/Reduced Priced Lunch and reside in low-income households. Students are working hard to improve Literacy test scores. Students are tested in areas of vocabulary and comprehension. There are several interventions that students participate in to enrich their reading skills such as Small Groups and Saturday School.

My students love to read and learn new information.

They utilize all resources that are given to them with appreciation and gratitude. The students who will receive the impact of this project is grade 5.

My Project

This project will be used to create a Socio-Emotional Resource Library for my students. Students may use the books and resources to assist with building their self esteem and self love/respect. The books may be read daily by students with permission to check-out books to share with their families.

During this time, supporting students by assisting in shaping self love and respect is beneficial.

This library will serve as a space for students to relax and learn more about themselves. The books will aid in affirming their self belief through examples and demonstration.
