Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This set of 26 copies of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is an incredible enrichment resource for my students during our read-aloud time. As a beloved and timeless classic, this book captures students’ imaginations while offering them access to grade-level reading in their native language—something that is both empowering and essential to their academic growth.
This multicultural text set provides my students with valuable time to engage with literature in a way that is fun, meaningful, and inclusive.
By reading this story together, we not only strengthen their listening and comprehension skills, but also foster a love of reading that stays with them far beyond the classroom.
My goal is to read this book with my class at the start of every trimester during our designated read-aloud block. It sets a joyful tone for learning, encourages curiosity, and reminds students just how magical and important reading can be.
Even more special — this is a book my students have requested themselves! They are eager to dive into the whimsical world of Willy Wonka, follow Charlie’s journey, and explore the imaginative lessons the story has to offer. With your help, we can give them an unforgettable reading experience and continue nurturing their love for books.
