My Project
In my classroom, we need a lot of space as we learn and study our Hawaiian culture. Students are constantly moving around either interacting and discussing with their peers, or dancing/singing/chanting cultural songs. Because space is needed, I do not have many desks and chairs.
Even though my classroom has so much space, we do not have many options when it comes to comfortable seating.
A large area rug provides students with a soft floor to sit on without taking up space in our classroom. Cubby benches also provide cushioned seating for the children while simultaneously serving as storage space.
It is so important for students to learn our Hawaiian culture. I want my classroom to be a comfortable space for children to learn and have a positive experience. I know that these items will help create that experience.
