Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With state funding being decreased, creating a warm and inviting environment for students to learn is falling more on the teachers than ever before. I am asking for help funding classroom carpets and flexible seating for my classroom so we can learn in ways that support collaboration and movement. Students will be able to work in a way that inspires them without having to sit on the cold, hard, tile floor.

Creating a safe and comfortable environment for students allows them to regulate out of the fight or flight state that trauma has put many of our students in.

Learning can not take place unless students are in a mindset to receive the information. Comfort and safety play a large role in that ability. I hope to provide my students with the best chance of achieving their goals through the environment I create in the classroom.
