This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The classroom is an important space to cultivate learning, but a classroom rug is where the students become a family. A classroom rug is placed at the center of the classroom and is used as a common meeting place to, regroup, reset, or reconnect as a whole class.
Many important skills are learned on the classroom rug, such as community building and social emotional skills.
A classroom rug will give us a comfortable space to work and a central place to come together as a classroom family. As a class, we will use this rug daily.
