My Students

"I can't see the anchor chart!" "My bottom hurts!" Everyday, the students in my classroom struggle to concentrate during our whole group instruction. We have created a "learning spot" in my classroom, but the students do not like it because it isn't a comfy learning area!

My students are extremely engaged and hungry for knowledge.

They do a great job during the lessons but have a hard time concentrating because the floors are uncomfortable. The students love English and love to participate. One of the great things about creating a "learning space" is students can have controlled conversations with one another and build off of each other.

My Project

Everyday we come to our learning space in order to go over a mini lesson, share out, and work together. During this time, the students need a rug in order to concentrate for longer periods of time. At times, the students can no longer sit on the floor so they begin to move around and start to distract other students. This rug will allow the students to sit comfortably and participate in our conversations without losing focus because their bottoms are starting to get sore! In addition, many students bring chairs over and it takes a great length of time to get the students situated. By having the rug, the students won't have to worry about bringing chairs to our learning area.

This will not only help class run smoothly, but will encourage the students to stay focused and participate during our whole group time.

These students are extremely engaged in English and this would greatly help take advantage of our learning space. We would greatly appreciate this donation!
