My Project

Currently, we are using carpet spots in my first-year classroom. However, I believe that a classroom rug would help create a more welcoming and exciting learning environment when we come together as a whole group.

I plan on using our classroom rug every day during whole group lessons, morning meetings, and read-aloud.

My students are also encouraged to use the carpet space during their independent work/reading time as a flexible seating option.

Including a classroom rug in my space would also complete the welcoming and positive environment I strive to create in my room.
