My students do rug activities every day consisting of varying levels of grouping. This rug would give me the opportunity to organize the rug learning time, as well as create a happy and bright learning environment for my firsties!
At this age of development, children need movement and change in location around the room when doing learning activities.
This would create more areas and opportunities for different styles of learning. This in turn, will help our classroom be more effective.
This rug would give me the opportunity to implement a designated area for students to gather as well as create an open space for movement when needed.
