Classroom Rug for Kindergarten

My students need a place to meet a new classroom rug to meet. The rug I have now is very old and falling apart. I want my students to feel comfortable as we learn together.

My Students

Kindergarten is a place for students to learn, create and discover. They are learning to letters and sounds as they become readers and writers. Many are exploring as scientists, counting and building in blocks.

In kindergarten, We are a community of learners.

We begin our day meeting together where we sing songs, read books and use our smartboard. Our school is a Title 1 in a rural area where many students are on free or reduced lunch. Even though students come from different backgrounds and challenges, in our classroom we are a family,

My Project

A new rug would provide students with their own space and help me to manage my students so that we could foster a great learning and nurturing environment.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student comfort and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

My students will use the rug in many different ways. One way is learning in whole group sitting on the rug. Listening to our reading story for the day. I review letters, sounds, and practice reading words. We work hard on learning sight words and lots of other reading skills. Math time is another time we will love to have a rug to sit and work with our manipulative's.
