My Project

My students love being able to work towards classroom rewards and incentives, motivating students to improve his/her work efforts.

Classroom rewards and incentives will help encourage students to persevere through academic challenges, yet celebrate all the small learning successes along the way throughout the school year.

In turn, this helps increase overall academic performance and positive behaviors in the classroom environment.

I teach at a rural school that is funded by Title I and has a high poverty level. Most of the students in my class are either on free or reduced-price lunches. Most students are not interested in school; therefore, it is my goal to make learning fun and active!

In my classroom, I like to motivate my students with a class store and create a fun learning environment. In order for students to be motivated to make good choices and perform with their best effort, they need to see extrinsic materials like an assortment of candy, fidgets, and spinner tops to motivate them.
