Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at our charter school are amazing. Our students come to school prepared and ready to have a great time in the classroom. My classroom is all about supporting one another and building skills. They always come into the classroom eager and ready to take on any task we provide for them. The work we do in our classroom is improving our skills, following directions, and finding new ideas to help each other grow. Throughout this pandemic, our students have had to adjust to distance learning or in person learning. For some it has been a struggle to adjust to the new "norm,” but they always find a way to look at the bright side.
My Project
These resources will benefit my students in many ways. Math and reading are essential skills to know. I have picked out math and reading resources for my students to help expand their skills. They will benefit from learning new ways to add, subtract, multiply, read, spell, etc. My class specifically ranges from grades first to third. My students are working on their writing, reading, and comprehension skills. The resources I have chosen help, my students, in math and writing. These resources will improve their reading, writing, and math skills tremendously. I am planning on writing more prompts with them, practicing multi platoon facts, and improving their spelling.
Whiteboards, pencil grips, books, privacy screens, and math games will allow my students to have the proper resources in the classroom.
These resources will not only motivate them but encourage them that they are capable of learning. I want my students to know there are many resources available to them, to help expand their creative minds.
