This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Unfortunately due to Hurricane Milton’s impact on Tampa, my classroom was flooded and I have lost majority of the materials in my classroom that have either been donated to me through Donor's Choose or paid for out of pocket. I am absolutely heart broken as I was not allowed to enter my classroom, and my districts safety team entered my room and threw out thousands of dollars worth of my personal supplies and materials without my consent or knowledge.
With your help, I am hoping to get my classroom back to what it was prior to Hurricane Milton for both my students and myself.
My students need new water bottles so that they can stay hydrated for PE and throughout the day. The mini fridge will be utilized for science materials (food items that are needed for investigations). The other materials on this list will help keep the classroom organized such as the storage drawers, as well as allow the students to have a comfortable classroom environment again (pillows, bean bag chairs, etc.).
