This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing. They are hardworking and excited to be at school. Now that we do not have to wear masks and are in the classroom full time, we do have some catching up to do. These bins and materials will help make the hard job of learning to read a bit easier. I've done lots of research into the science of reading and am ready to align my classroom more to this type of teaching. The bins will be used to organize books. The dry erase sleeves will be used for word mapping. The importance of rhyming words has become much more evident to me and I am excited to bring high engagement materials to my students.
