A reading nook can also help students to build confidence, develop literacy skills, and promote a positive learning community with one another.
By creating a reading nook, students will feel welcomed and encouraged to read more often.
Engaging students to develop a love for reading will more than likely help to overcome negative feelings towards reading and have a growth mindset towards working on challenges they may face with reading.
This area is where students can go for independent reading to select books of their choice from a variety of options that we have in our library. They can read in this area and become immersed in their books, rather than comeback to sit at their desks.
