This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am looking to enhance the look of my classroom library to encourage students to read! Many students in my class are below level readers and do not enjoy reading. My hopes are to make the library look more exciting so that the students find it more inviting and feel more exciting about learning. These bookshelves, floor seats, and yoga mats will help give a bright new place for my students to find books and then have a cozy place to hang while they read. My students need to be motivated to get read and I feel like a fun reading environment would be just the push they need!
